YOUTH FINDING ACTIVITIES IN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

YMCA YFACE™—Youth Finding Activities in Community Engagement—is the culmination of a three-year grant-funded innovative project through YMCA of the USA to encourage and grow the ethic of service and volunteerism for teens. YMCA YFACE provides a powerful and interactive tool to support the goal of holistic youth development.

The components of YMCA YFACE include:

  • Survey: a fun, multimedia survey for teens that results in a printed Personal Profile
  • Video Reflection: an online video wall that captures and collects responses from teens and adults concerning service and volunteer experiences
  • Video Promo: six-minute video promotion that explains the potential and impact of the tool for adults working with youth
  • Guide: a print and online resource that details how adults use the survey specifically and the other tools with teens
  • Toolkit: a marketing promotional piece that contains the Guide and Quick Start and Community Partnership Tip Sheets
